What is my username and password?: Edison uses a fairly simple formula for assigning students and faculty user IDs and passwords. HOWEVER, you will not be assigned one until you register for your first class. These accounts are created automatically once you register, and will not exist until you do. What does this mean in a nutshell? You have to speak to someone in registration to register for your first class. After you do, your account will be created and you can login and register online to your hearts content.

Note: Any calls made in reference to a student or faculty account will require your student or faculty ID number. Due to both Edison policy and state law, we cannot give you any information over the phone without it. Please have it ready when you call the Helpdesk. Due to the inordinately high number of calls that occur during the first few weeks of class, you will be placed on hold if you need to go find it. This number can be found in the upper left corner of your student ID card in the case of students, or on the stub of one of your paychecks if you are faculty.

A social security number is not a valid substitute.
